Pennsylvania Nurse Aide (CNA) Exam
The state competency exam that places you on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry. It has two parts, and both are given here.
Knowledge test
Multiple-choice questions on the nurse aide role, including safety, infection control, resident rights and basic care. Offered in written or oral format.
Skills evaluation
You perform selected hands-on nurse aide skills, such as handwashing and measuring vital signs, while an evaluator observes.

How to book your exam
Pennsylvania CNA exams are scheduled through Credentia, not directly with us.
- Create a Credentia accountGo to the Credentia Pennsylvania nurse aide page and sign up.
- Submit your exam applicationEnter your training program information and pay the exam fee.
- Choose Adonai InstituteSelect our Reading test site, then pick a date and time.
- Arrive early on test dayBring the ID and items listed in your Credentia confirmation.
Pass your exam and start your nurse aide career
Once you pass both parts of the exam, you are placed on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry and ready to work as a CNA.

- Check street signs for any posted parking limits.
Where to enter
- Use the entrance on the Windsor St side of the building.
